David and Carlyn - Station North Tool Library

David and Carlyn were married at the Station North Tool Library in Baltimore where David volunteers. Giving back is at the heart of their relationship, so joining their interests and loved ones into this particular location made the use of the space that much more special.

As one of the longest-running volunteers at the library, David makes most of the their furniture there, as well as teaches classes. As for Carlyn, she is a women's social worker who is obsessed with plants which is why they chose to have the portraits shot at the Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens of Baltimore. Together, they paired rustic charm with dreamy greenery to create a world representative of their lives -- down to their taste in cocktails. Note: only accessory to rival the carat on Carlyn's finger was the canine at David's side. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Andrew and Archana - Part 2

In Part 2 of Andrew and Archana's wedding, the Christian ceremony commences. Before a traditional service, the couple had another "first look" session, changing from gorgeous Indian garb into a stunning gown and tux. The reception was an affair all on its own at the Four Seasons, combining flare from both ceremonies on one dance floor.

Andrew and Archana, Hindu Ceremony At The Four Seasons Hotel

Andrew and Archana's wedding was a blend of both Hindu and Christian customs. The two met in medical school at Johns Hopkins University and now share one very big and vibrant family. To merge the two wedding traditions, the couple had two different, yet cohesive, ceremonies connected by a lavish reception, all at the Four Seasons in Baltimore.

The first ceremony followed the Hindu tradition, calling for photography with just as much attention to detail during pre-wedding rituals as the ceremony itself.  Preparation was key for capturing the textures, shades and tender moments between the couple and their families. The Four Seasons Hotel made for the perfect multi-cultural setting. The connection between the sweet and sometimes camera-shy couple shined throughout in the images as they reflected on their backgrounds and looked to their future as one modern, melded couple.

Stay tuned for another upcoming post highlighting the Christian ceremony and reception.
